Flash drive doesn't work on my machine

That's right, the flash drive I won from the competition does not work on my computer. End flashes red a few times, then stays on red, 30s later, bsod: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. The thing is, it works perfectly fine on my brothers laptop, and when I RMAed, worked fine on Super Talent's machine too (which is why I'm not going to bother them again). I've tried numerous (ok, only 2 or so) other flash drives and they all work, so this thing is stumping me. Any suggestions?

maybe look for new or older usb 2.0 drivers differt ones might work for you. And look around in bios see if you got flash options for hi speed and full speed.

Are you plugging the drive directly into your motherboard or into one of your cases usb ports? Or have you tried both?

The PC I built for my folks was having all kinds of problems when they plugged their ipod into the cases USB ports. Worked fine for their digital camera, just not ipod. In the end it turned out that their cases USB ports just couldnt handle USB2, so I had to downgrade the port to USB1

I'm debating whether that is sarcasm or not cause I have no idea where I ever mentioned Windows 95 :eh:

Haha! Sorry but that was pretty funny to read. Where did the 95 idea come from? :p

Anywhoo back on topic: I believe that maybe the drivers are a problem? If not then im afraid to say it might be a dodgy drive...

Thinking along those lines, USB channels do share resources with other things on the mobo, might be worth looking into that angle if u`ve clocked something.

EDIT: Be worth testing the power the USB2 sockets are supplying.

Sounds like a compatibilty issues, very very rare on a flash drive but if you can use other drives just fine, and yours works ok on others computers, then that pretty much gives you your answer.
