Flappy Tom Logan

As the title says, I'll be making a Flappy Bird clone for TTL! Can't believe no one has done it yet!

I'll start working today, and update you guys on it. I'm making it with Game Maker Studio Standard, so when it's done you'll all be able to play it if you guys would like! :)

Well, I'll get to work, let me know what you guys think! ;)

EDIT: I think it's a good idea for me to update the OP with the latest info.

So, I've made a background and a bird for Tom! Also I just found out making apps for the game cost like $200, so we'll have to skip on that. This game will be a forum member exclusive one then, and – of course – completely free to play. Tom still has to give permission for this to exist, so it's not completely sure it's actually being released yet.

So, here are the background and the bird then:

What do you guys think? :)

I like those ideas! I'll try to get them implemented! ;)

At the moment I'm just working on the background. I'm thinking a circuit board with the (new) OC3D logo? Or just plain white (or black) and new logo of course!

EDIT: I'll try to find some flame animations, but I'm by no means an expert so no promises on those effects yet ;)

EDIT2: just got a great idea. After I've uploaded the first stable build, I can start working on medals I guess. What do you guys think? 10+ pipes = OC3D Bronze award, 20+ pipes = OC3D Silver Award, 30+ pipes = OC3D Gold Award, 50+ pipes = OC3D TTL White Gold Award.

More than 50, me and my neice got 100 odd so it needs to be hard like 200 lol.

If you get more than 50, you get a silver OC3D logo and more than 100, you get a gold OC3D logo. like achievements.

I'll try and add that! ;)

For now, this is what I have for the background. Let me know what you think :)

EDIT: yeah, I realize the OC3D logo doesn't look very good, I'm working on that right now :)

EDIT2: giving the image a 'clothy' look seems to increase image quality dramatically, but you'll either love it or hate it.. I'm not sure what I think about it though!

If you're going to use the official OC3D logo and distributing the game you need to ask him for permission.

Game maker should contain some fire anim samples in the sprite anim creator. Also you can build the game for both mobile OSs pretty easily I believe.

Ya i was just about to point that out. You need permission from him and really your advertising for him so however he wants to deal with that is up to him but you should give credit where it is due.

^^ Thanks for the warning guys! I'll shoot him a PM :)

Guess who has his very own bird?

EDIT: sent him a PM, let's hope he's okay with this! :D

^^ I had to resize the logo a bit so that it wouldn't look extremely tiny on the wallpaper. Also the editing software I use (GIMP) doesn't like transparent images so it turns the transparent parts black. I had to make it transparent myself, and I suck at photoshop

Try using Paint.Net for transparent (.png) images. I've used it in the past and it's been really good.
