Hi guys im back from the grave,

Now i have saved a bit of money i would like to upgrade to water cooling my SB-E System i have followed Tom's advice in his videos and i have come up with the parts below. would you change anything if so let me know below :)

my main consern is that the rad won't fit unless i use a pull config fan set with the rad on the inside of the case and the fans on just on the out side under the top exit holes. dose this effect performance with just pull or should i get a smaller rad and do push pull.

PC specs, haf X, asrock extreme 9, 3930k, h100 the rest are in my signature

ps i already have 2 nf-f12's

Looking good mate. IMO XPSC tube is a bit crap and soft. I used primochill for over a year now with no issues.

And you need more than 2 meters and get more then 1 litre of fluid. Just incase anything happens or you want to change something. I would also strongly recommend getting a tube cutter, to make sure that you get perfect cuts.

Pull will be fine mate. The rad has nice wide fin spacing so with just the cpu in there the fans will be able to run at near silent. I have seen push/pull in that case before but it depends on ram and heatsinks above cpu.

edit are you using the 690 in there? im guessing not right?

Why dont you get the kit with all that watercooling gear together isnt it cheaper?

And i have no problem with XSPC tubing.

Thanks for your response's i will have a look at the primochill tubing thanks and im not putting the 690 in this loop for now anyways

@Blair, the kit comes with a lot of crap i don't want or need and its like £10 cheeper with all the parts i already have

I allways go with inside pump and sepred res. But, if you dont have space on case or you think it looks bad, then i can understand.
Bay res. just give more noice because direct connection to case vs. any noice damp you can put under standing pump.

Thanks for the reply mummy i was thinking a separate pump and 2 res. 1 cylindrical and 1 dual bay what pumps and res's would you recommend?

Hmm 2 res. ? and im getting all out of my system in future :)
Well if u dont maind front look then bayres. is ok.

For pump that D5 do fine, if it has control of power as in full speed its too strong for your system with res. and you end up with air in loop with it.

Allso i recormend softpad like Phobya's "noise destructor v.1" under the pump to damp the noise down more. After that if you have PSU with 24/7 fan to be noise as hell.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Aurora concentrate will not work in that res/pump. Additionally, Aurora is designed to be put in showcase systems for a weekend LAN or that sort of thing. It stops working after a relatively short period of time, and you lose a good amount of cooling with it.

Thanks for the info michalius so would you recomend some of Mayhems Pastel Fluid like the ice white?

what pump's /res's would you recomend munny?

I dont think the simple colors for Pastel fluids are worth it at all. If you're going to try and achieve something that you otherwise can't with colored tubing, then by all means. When it comes to the white, why not just use white tubing? You would barely even be able to tell a difference.

Also, that bay res/pump combo is absolutely killer. It'll provide you an awesome path to upgrade *WHEN* you add another radiator and some GPU blocks down the line. Bay reservoirs also allow you to keep your loop a lot more tidy rather than having a ton of fittings/pumps and all of that business in the middle of the case.
