First time GPU over clock results (on a P.O.S mobo)

Hi guys,


So i sold my Sabertooth while i was waiting for RIVE.BE so i had to jump back onto my spare board being an Asrock X79 Extreme 3 (Ewww as rock.... Kill it with fire) but in the interim i lost my job so I'm going to be stuck with this a little while longer :-( So I thought lets try and make the best of the bad. I've still been able to drag my CPU clock out to 4.8ghz (which gob smacked me considering the mobo, Not as high as i could get on my Saber how ever) and these are what I've thus far been able to achieve with my first attempt at Oc'ing a GPU. Advice welcome.

I'm going to start winding back the voltage on the GPU as i know it was at 1200mhz@1.25v so hopefully i can drop it down a bit.

You mobo wont really make any difference to a GPU clock fella

yea prob a poor title choice, I was genuinely dumb stuck when I was able to clock my 3930k@4.8ghz stable on this board how ever! I was able to get to 5.0ghz on my saber though.

And I was amazed to see that 98%.

but then left curious as to why its a 10% diff for overall between the two benches.
