Faulty GPU

So my Graphics Card has now apprantly devloped a fault. A Few months back I sent it back to ebuyer hence issues with Heat and I asked if I can have a different card and they said no problem as they would be able to "credit" my account.

Well what did they do send the bloody card away to be repaired and I duly had the card back after a few weeks.

So far it's been working fine, but very recently in gaming the screen would go "black" and the "driver" would crash and then I had a bsod and now I have all nice colored blocks on my screen.

So it's more than obvious now to get it back to ebuyer to replace it. I went into my account to raise an rma and it said I "can't return it" so I shot them an enote to explain the case so all being well I should get this sorted!

Now in the meantime I will have to put up with on board Graphics. My motherboard is the Asus P8 Z77-V X and its a more or less "plug and play"
So install the VGA driver and off you go. And I'm having issues installing the driver.

It says " The Computer Does not meet the requirements for installing the software" I deffo install the Windows 7 64 Bit Driver and nothings happening.

I tried unsintalling the Asus Drivers then plugging in the monitor I hget dsiplay no problem when I get to Post I get display then it just reboots for some strange reason....

Any ideas why?

Thanks
Rob

Try running Display Driver Uninstaller and then install the latest drivers off the AMD website.

Coloured blocks on your screen makes it sound like dead VRAM though.

I'm running into a slight snag, I've un-installed the AMD Drivers and took out the Graphics Card and installed the VGA Driver for the onboard Graphics, rebooted, and it's stuck in a post loop any ideas?

Hmm tough one. Both are pretty pants for RMA but I think I would go with the XFX because it looks slightly better IMO.

So I eventually sent the card back them last month and I had been using a spare graphics card the 6870.

I told ebuyer on the phone when I spoke to them that I wanted another card and not the one I'm sending back, and they said ok. I told them what I wanted and they added that to the notes.

Then what do they do, send it back to the Manufacturer again! and only today I had it back.

Once again everything seems to be working "ok" but I'm frequiently experiencing where my Monitor turns it self off. I then have to do a hard reset.

Before I installed the card back in I made sure I uninstalled the previous ones before installing the new ones. And everything is ok there.

Any ideas?

Oh Dear why is that?

Because they have among the worst customer service in the UK going from reviews and other people's experiences.

I bought from them thinking they were OK and because they had about 90% of the rig I wanted to buy. So rather than buying from say, Amazon, I went with them.

11 months in my motherboard died and they said that they didn't have a replacement so I just sent it directly back to MSI.

Even the delivery was messed up, with the boxes having great big tears in covered in tape saying they had been opened and small items were strewn all along the entrance to my flat when they delivered it.

Even then their customer service was crap.

Never had any issues with Ebuyer myself.

Well until now and that's my last I'm buying from them.

I need futher advise can any of you techies help me?
I had an email from Ebuyer stating:

"The damage caused to your returned goods is not covered by warranty. The goods will be returned with no further action"

When I recieved the card back just after Christmas everything seemed fine and I handled the card with Care, popped it in my System , Driver installed and after an hour or so Id get a dead out put. Checked and reseted the card, switched on all seemed ok until the same fault.

Put in my 6870 all appears fine, I packed the card back up in the box and handed it over to Yodel. and today I had that email and spoken to them and told them I have not done that damage. Ebuyer have emailed me the photos whats your point of call here?

Please help
