Fatal1ty F-I90HD unable to boot Vista

I just setup my MediaPC last night with the Fatal1ty F-I90HD as the heart of the beast.

Im using the HDMI to go to my 50" Sony TV and it worked a treat with XP MCE, so this morning i thought i would go and attempt Vista on it before i settle with it all.

The HDMI displayed all the way through the BIOS as normal and the same with the Vista install process but as soon as it had finished installing and went to boot for the first time it refused to display anything via the HDMI.

Are there any known problems with the HDMI Port on a default install of vista?

I didnt have chance this morning, had to dash out to work :)

Just silly how it works fine on XP all the way through, and even on the bios but Vista just says "No!"

Im going to hook up the VGA when i pop back home at lunch and see if i can just get it up and running that way.

It's got to be something to do with the HDCP features of the chipset and the DRM of Vista I would have thought. Is your monitor HDCP enabled?

Arrr it cant be that

If a supplier supports the HDMI connector but not HDCP, Vista will downconvert the video stream to the quality of analog television

As all i get is blank screen that displays for like 5secs as if its out of sync then just blacks out.

Which Vista is it m8 ?

Tbh with u, looking from the Ultimate pov, I`d get myself established with a regular monitor, then go from there. I have no experience of versions down from Ultimate, but I notice it has a connection wizard thingy that appears to look like it sets up for projectors, TVs and so on - I`d almost bank on it working out the output for u`r 50".

Yep its Ultimate that im using, it was fine through the whole install but then on first boot it just showed some crazy light blue blockly screen then went blank.

Just annoying as it was fine all the way through on XP :)
