anyone used a good online tyres shop?

i did a quick google, came up a few, but wasnt sure which one is good, dont suppose anyone on here use one?

if you do, and you also drive a bit quicker than OAPs, which tyre you recommend?

looking at these 2 at the moment:-

Goodyear F1

Michelin PS2

cant find GY F1s in 225/40/19 and 255/35/19, and cant find PS2 in 255/35/19!

Toyo have both size, but dont want them, dont last long, but grip is good tho!

Personally I love Toyo's, always bought them for my Clio Sport 172 (@ 195HP). My choice list would look like:

Toyo's

Yokohoma's

BF Goodrich

Michelin

Pirelli

Not necessarily in that order, but get a decent set of any of those brands and you'll be laughing

I think it was the Yoko's that were pretty good in the wet (had very good irrigation channels - think that's the right word), so if you live in a wet area you might wanna check them out.

i'm still on the pirelli P6000's, but then again i cant warrent spening anymore on rubber. I should mention that i dont throw it around corners so there isnt much need.

If you live close to Bracknell, then try Bracknell Tyre and Battery, they are one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest tyre shop in the country

Mytyres.co.uk or camskill or blackcircletyres

I still highly recommend the Toyo T1-S but they have been replaced with the T1-R's which in my personal opinion are no way as good.

I can't stand the pirelli p6000's. Had them on my 306 rallye and they were so bad on that car

tbh i cant tell if its my car or the tires, but the grip isnt the best. zetec s for you.

Not long to wait the corsa vxr, i'm such a rude boy!

hmmmm.......mixed views eh

TBH, my first choice would be GY F1s, i've used them before and they are bloody good!

but for some odd reasons, no one seems to stock them no more.....blah...

toyos T1-S and T1-R, had them both, i heard they had good dry grip, and indeed they do! and it lasted 2 summer months......too soft......so toyos are no go.

PZeros were okish, too hard tho, last long but there isnt enough grip for me.

i've never had Michelin tho, not sure what they are like, i'd love to get a set of their Cup tyres, but cant find them.....

might just go for their SP2, i've found them on mytyres.co.uk, and the only place too!

need to shop around a bit more me think......might try a few more local shops to see what they have to offer.

Bridgestone Potenza F1's are meant to be very very very good, but a bit pricey!

Those new corsa VXR's are mad! Lairy kit on them!

This months "which" magazine come with a supplement on best tyres. Bridgestone Turanza ER300 scored best, but they dont come cheap.

Some sites worth checking.

etyres.co.uk

tyres-online.co.uk

tyreplus.co.uk

eventmobiltyres.co.uk

and the ones metioned earlier

Busy looking for neew tyres myself so know how you feel.;)
