Tbf if they said "everything" then everything means everything so people had every right to get angry/panic. They should of made it clearer from the start...

I refuse to buy games that lock framerate and resolution. Why do I have a high end PC? Idiot devs. Why must I lower my expectations? So that plebs who can only afford a $350 console won't be jealous? Screw that.

How much clearer than Todd Howard saying at E3 that the game would not be resolution or FPS locked does it need to be for you dude?

What!? Very narrow minded view you have there. If you've joined the OC3D forums to hail "PC Master Race", look at the size of my EPeen! Fanboy-isms, all console owners are peasants and Devs are dumb.

You are sorely mistaken and on the wrong forums, raging uneducated generalizations are misplaced here.

Bethesda have done them self proud here, they respect the PC gaming communities and Modding groups who make their titles all the more appealing and by not limiting FPS shows faith in the engine and serves as a great boost for PC gaming overall, and also sends a message to other devs to follow suit.

Im not one of those PC master race people. What I am is someone who likes to get what he pays for. If I pay $700 for a graphics card- twice the price of an entire console, I want to be able to push that card to its limit with any given title. If a dev wants to be mean to me and restrict my res or FPS, they are screwing me by limiting me to parity with a console, when I have 3-5 times more money invested in my machine than what a console would cost. That is unfair. It is cheating the customer. That makes me angry.

Yes, I called console players plebs. That's just my opinion. I do not think I am a master race person in a cream jumpsuit with blonde locks flowing in the wind, by any stretch of the imagination.

Did you even read the article? It won't be limited on PC. Only person you should be angry at is yourself for not reading or even looking at the Title.

Hear hear !

The last time they released a Fallout game they even released a tool so that people could make their own DLC.

This time they've... Released a game already, for free, for Android or IOS. Will release another one that you can use with or without the Pip Boy when the game comes out.. Haven't res or HZ locked it.. And so on. And the asking price? well, I saw it on Tesco for £38 IIRC.

They're charging £38 for a game that's taken four or more years to make and won't last for four hours like your typical EA/Activision fodder yet people are still complaining.

Not cool. Bethesda are awesome ! whilst I wasn't really into TES my mates adored Skyrim !

There are some people who want to play on both consoles and pc's.

I myself have barely played any games on my pc in the last 8 months or so, because I am playing Destiny on my Xbox One, now if it was available on the pc I would have bought it on the pc.

Some people who play games on consoles, could quite easily afford £10K to pay on a pc but choose not to because they prefer consoles.

If developers choose to do a poor job on the pc version then it's there own fault when they don't sell well, just look at the COD games on pc each year they sell less and less copies on the pc each year because of the poor versions of the game and also the poor support, but when developers do a proper job with the game and support they continue to sell, so restricting resolution and frame rates just means that unless you really want to play it vote with your wallet and don't buy it.

Absolutely, and i'd expect nothing less from Bethesda. They're usually pretty respecting of their fan base.

Amen to that. But what baffles me is the lack of support for the PC. What happened to giving the PC more options e.g. hd textures, the ability to go from low to ultra in graphics options etc. Sadly as long as the 8th gen is horrifically underpowered, all ported games will be limited in features and gameplay. Just compare the gameplay on offer in Star Citizen (PC exclusive) to the rather generic gameplay of most new games.

I have said this before on other threads.

These game DEV's only seem to care about consoles not PC's, IMO they are doing things back to front they should be making the PC version first and then make the Console versions next.
