Fallout 4 rumoured to launch this year

I prefered New Vegas over 3. Still excited though. Can't help but feel a little bit worried that they'll do something really stupid however.

New Vegas was good. It just didn't have the depth of Fallout 3. What I mean is, in Fallout 3 you could wander into a building and then find yourself engrossed in that building for hours, trying to finish a mini or side quest.

I'm not blaming Obsidian as they were working with serious time constraints but yeah, doesn't have the longevity of 3. Whilst at first I embraced the more cheery nature of New Vegas I did find myself missing the depressing nature of 3 :D

There were a couple of really cool vaults in NV though. One of which I ended up stuck in for about five hours.

on the edge of my seat for this! poured hundreds & hundreds of hours into both on the xbox 360, when fallout nv i smashed the granny out of it, had completed it in 41hrs of release on the hardcore setting! & since played it to death! i need a date so i can book holiday off work!!! lol

Lil' something for you Fallout fans - I almost cried laughing, especially at about 2:20

Does contain some offensive language, so be warned :)

Yeah I was clocking in at around 40 hours. I play on easy, as I get annoyed if I die lol. But then when you start manually searching out the side quests and mini quests the hours tot up. I did about 70 first time through, and that was every single last inch of the wasteland walked, every hidden weapon and every single last side quest.

Fallout RULES!!!

Take your time and don't rush. Make sure you read everything because it's critical to your survival once you leave the vault.

I had never played an RPG before (I preferred arcadey style games) and missed how to use VATS. This really made it quite close to impossible once I was down in the metro.

So yeah, take your time dude.

Broken Steel wasn't even out at the time - this was within about a week of it coming out. Also having to get DLC to go back and do the side quests is ridiculous lol.

Yeah I know. It is now though.

I really don't know what happened there. The game was quite clearly broken at launch, because once you completed it you couldn't go back. Very, very odd.

I ended up loading up an old save game. Thing is, at some point I ventured off and got lost and ended up doing the fire ants quest, so it took me ages to actually go into Vault 87 and complete the game :)
