F**k Off, Steam!!!

Some of you might have notice that I've had problems regarding my new HDD, well now Steam have decided to f**k me over too. When I tried to log onto Steam I got this message saying that they sent a special code to my email as added security, blah, blah, blah, well that email is no longer in use. I can't access it anymore. It doesn't exist anymore. So I can't get a hold of the code and I can't change my verified email since you have to log into the verified email to change it. And now I've sent Steam Support an email, but of course I haven't gotten any answer. So I can't play Portal 2 which I REALLY want to do. I can't play any of my effin' games!.... F**k you, Steam!!!

Oh, gotta add a question for this to be a legit thread. How long does it usually take for Steam Support to answer? I've waited a couple of looooong days. lol

To be honest you should've changed your verified email to a one you are actually using, why didn't you just keep it up to date with personal information that's all you need to do.

regarding steam support no idea.

The problem is that I CAN'T change it because in order to change it I have to click on an email Steam sends to the current verified email. So when I can't access the verified email I can't change it to a different verified email. And when I made that email to the verified email there were no problems with it. What happened was that they suddenly said they wanted money if I wanted to keep the email. So I said f*ck that and then they wouldn't even allow me to enter the email at all. And now the email doesn't exist anymore. Do you see the problem?

AFAIK, Steam support only operates M-F. They are really good though and will get you sorted when they are back.

I hope they'll at least answer my problem on Monday. And yes, they are good. They can pretty much work around any problem you got. It feels like they don't have very stiff rules to fallow if you know what I mean, but it's so annoying when something this small stops me completely from playing my games...

It's really annoying because I've tried to change it before. I even asked Steam if they could change it for me, but oh, no, you got to change it your self. You gotta click the link or what ever on that email they send to your current verified email.

Sorry to give you more bad news, but the earliest I would say that Steam would sort it for you is Tuesday, as it's bank holiday monday and I doubt they would bank holidays......

Steam support are normally pretty good, I have had a couple of problems on Steam and they have pretty much sortted it straight away...... Hope they do for you too

I don't know what to say... I just want to laugh at all of the stuff that's happened this Easter. Is that a bad sign? This s**t is seriously starting to get to me since I got nothing to do other then sitting on my PC since I'm totally out of cash...

Nope. There's no way because the site where I had that email have deleted the email since it no longer was active... Sucks big time... :/

Delete post please

You serious?... I'mma let the mods/admins choose whether this thread lives or not. And the mods/admins are very on top of things here so I bet many of them have read this thread and it's not been taken down so why should it be taken down just because you say so? It's the mods/admins' jobs to find threads that shouldn't be around and then delete them. It's not your job so stop pretending to be a mod/admin and just go on. Can you do that?

Do you not have any games at all on a disc?

You could always do some cable management and clean the dust off your fans (if you're like me they turn grey every week - performance cfms for ya) during the wait so when you are up and running don't have to prat around with it. Reformat your drive, download patches and updates if possible, just anything to save time later is my only suggestion really.

Only games I got on discs are Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: SHIFT and Call of Duty: Black Ops. The only game of those that doesn't toally blow is SHIFT, but I got SHIFT 2 waiting for me soon and I've played SHIFT so much I'm kinda tired of the drifting style of driving that's on SHIFT. I'm about to hopefully get a Corsair 650D so doing more cable management now seems kinda pointless. Plus I must say, I'm pretty damn happy with how it looks. I got a damn HAF 922 and it looks almost as good as it possibly can without nodding it. Not bragging here.

Only thing I think I might do in a short bit is to take off my CPU cooler (Noctua NH-D14) and clean out all the dust out of it and the same with my GPU (XFX 5870) and just generally cleaning up some dust around my case, but it's so hard to do it properly without "air-on-a-can"... The HAF 922 is a dust magnet...

I hate my case. The more I use it the more it shows itself to be poorly built. It looks good. But the paint comes off a little too easily and the steel underneath then goes rusty. The front fan only has two remaining screw holes which haven't come out when I removed it for cleaning and yeah just generaly sucks - should've spent an extra tenner and bought a 922 like you. I have to say my D-14 still hasn't needed cleaning and I must've had it about 3 months, maybe 4 months now.

The HAF 922 is a great case by all means. It's like the Nissan GT-R... Nothing can beat it in it's price class and it beats a lot of cases that are more expensive than it. Only thing is that I'm getting tired of it and I hate the bare metal on the inside. And yes, it is metal, so it's really heavy compared to it's size. But I'm going to do some cleaning now. Thanks for the suggestion. I see my temps go up and up after each week that pass. Well, maybe not that bad, but the temps are higher than they should.

Could also be the weather (assuming you're from UK? forgive me if I'm wrong mate) I currently have 25*c at my hard disks and optical bays with 28*c above the D-14 but the other night was up to 28*c and 31*c. Still thinking of overclocking my mobo back to it's old speeds now I'm certain all is well in the land of the circuit boards
