'Extreme' gamers spend 45 hrs a week gaming!

According to a new study by NPD Group. Where do you fit into the statistics, if at all? Are you an extreme gamer? What's your opinion on spending that amount of time playing games? Discuss here

Hmm, i used to clock up maybe 30 hours a week, but i haven't really played in a month or so. Might have a bit of a game now.

I do on average 20-30 hours a week.

If I do gaming I normally do around 8 hours a week

I bet most of these are people who dont spend 40 hours a week at their jobs or have kids/family.

I'd say i spend maybe 35hrs a week playing on my pc.

Probably 3-4hrs on each weekday, plus 4hrs for a lan party every friday, plus probably 5hrs each of the days of the weekend.

I am probably what you'd call an avid pc gamer.

I dont see the point in these reports though, people who go to the i-series events could easily rack up 30+ hrs in 2 days!

It will be somehow used to show the evils of Gaming though.

I generally give about 3 hours a day gaming. Although when I´m busy that goes down to maybe 10 hours a week.

i can rack up more than that on holidays, but i certainly dont buy games regularly. if you're a dedicated pc gamer you stick to one or two games, not 100-200

Think I can smash that at times. If I`m on a tear and have a new game or something, it can be 6/7pm to 12/1/2am on weekdays and anything in excess of 8 hours sat and sun.

That`s atleast 46.

If the games` really good, which is very very rear these days, it`s not unknown stay up all night and go straight to work. That`ll most likely be a new mmo.

i used to do them all nighters when theirs a gd game i mean with css i stay up till 3/4 am on weekdays then have like 3hours sleep then go to school/work i did a full all nighter with COD4 and MOH Airbourne they were great games

now theirs nothing to play they busy trying to make it look gd rather then how it plays

Starcraft2/Diablo3/Fallout3 <-- when this will appear in shops i will do a short (maybe long) break from Lineage2 again
