Extra load on a PSU???

G'day Guys

Just wondering if anyone knows whether extending your PSU looms, would add extra strain to the PSU itself. To make things a little clearer, what I have decided to do is mod my case in preparation for H2O. I want to completely hide all wiring, by either ducting it through channelling pop rivetted to the chasis or under a false floor (necessity is the mother of all invention). An extra...say 300-500mm's on some of the shorter looms wouldn't cause too much of a load would it?

Feedback muchly appreciated

no mate..ir wouldnt really...it wouldnt cause half as much resistance and modular plugs would so u shd be ok

You'd be adding extra resistance at each additional plug u used which isn't specifically a great thing but if you're smart about it you should be able to get away with it w/o affecting your PSU's performance.

Each additional plug used on a single line/cable creates the same amount of resistance as if you added 2-3 extra feet of wire, just keep that in mind :)
