exactmat - control or speed?

my son got his Deathadder and exactmat from the special Specialtech yesterday. Great service!

And I was wondering - for an fps like CS:S - what side do people prefer - control or speed?

Personally I couldn't stand the texture of the control side.

And I can't understand how when I trawled websites for deathadder info, some responses said that the deathadder was cheap quality.

Looks better made than my limping Diamondback (over 2 years old, so it's had a good life).

Has anyone ever prised open a Diamondback? Couldn't see how to do it without smashing it to bits.

I might try and repair the left mouse button, or use it as a prototype to mod it to a vertical mouse which I've been thinking about for a while.

1) Speed

2) got a deathadder and its awesome quality

3) theres a screw under the rear pad that unscrews then you can open it at the back

I've changed my mind.

Played Medieval Total War II last night and found that control side was less draggy.

I can't beeeeelieve how good the deathadder is!

Deathwish: thanks for pointing me to the hidden screw. Time to make some dustbin filler out of a laser mouse.
