EVGA's position in the motherboard market is in jeopardy following mass resignations

That would be very, very sad. I for one was hoping they would focus more on motherboards and other hardware, because they have great quality hardware, them launching more products, reaching different price points would be great!

I hope at least, they don't need to close down their PSU division, that's something I take for granted and have always had an EVGA PSU in my personal systems.

I feel EVGA should have just switched to Intel and AMD with GPU's and if able still produce Nvidia hardware, it'll be a shame if they are completly gone from the market, over the years while i've owned little of there products they were always an option.

It'll be worse if they sell the brand and that what replaces it ends up being some cash grab on the name destroying the brand it built, only time will tell.

Their mobo BIOS was the worst of its kind.

Their mobo BIOS was the worst of its kind.

Yeah totally not great tbh.

EVGA's boards were just like the stupid ones coming out now for a grand. They offer very little apart from Epeen. EVGA realised pretty early they could add on a load of stuff and charge out the ahole for it and people would lap it up. Same with their GPUs, until Nvidia played them at their own game and cut them out. Setting prices they needed to try and get closer too, and giving the best quality before EVGA even got a look in.

That is why they were pi55ed and left.

I think companies like this need to calm down now, or just die in the face. People just can't throw around money like in the past.

I wish this company goes bankrupt.
This is why.
I own an RTX 3080 XC3 ultra. i live close to the sea, so i normally have a lot of humidity in the ambient. At this moment, above 80%. Well, the issue is that there was some aluminium oxide in the cooler. small points of white oxide in the aluminium cooler. I was having some issues with the card, so i returned the card to be repaired / replaced /full refund.

The biggest retailer here in Spain told me that EVGA would DENY any solution because of that oxide. I said: Send it, i want that to be said by them.
Exactly, EVGA denied servicing the gpu even if it was under warranty because, they claim that is due to "incorrect use". I argued that that has appeared naturally and that i could send them pictures of my past gpus all with the same problem. They didn't care.

So i don't care either about them. Just get rekt, EVGA.

Fix

Maybe fix this?

(EVGA left the motherboard market in 2022 ahead of Nvidia's RTX 40 series reveal)
