It will soon not matter.

NVidia have shown with this where they are going and I think future cards will be locked in the silicon.

To be honest, the 3060 isn't exactly a beast for hashing, so no reason for the miners to get over-excited.
I have a 1660 that hashes at half that rate, but also at half the power.


But my M1 Mac Mini matches my 1660 exactly, but at 15watts, almost ¼ of the power for the same performance. Plus the resale value of a Mac remains very high.

Pretty sure everybody called it. Nvidia wins either way. They still sold them. They don't care.

The only thing NVidia care about is maximising their profits from mining by segmenting the market.
