Hi Guys

I heard a little while ago that Eset were making NOD32 available for PDA and smart phones, supposedly available for some time this year. Has anyone heard anything about it's release or whether they've canned it. TIA PV

Yep, Symantec's dedicated team of virus writers are still keeping the anti-virus business alive ;) lol

ROFLMAO :D I tried out a trial version of Symantecs PDA antivirus, and it hasn't changed...Just as much of a resource hog as the rest of their software. Airscanner is the only other option I've found atm :( Email sent of to Eset as well

That wouldn't supprise me in the slightest. IMO they should all be stoned to death though.

Smart Phone = Windows = omfgtakecover!!! lol

is this for only windows smartphones then? cuz i have a smartphone but it runs symbian os

cheers.

lol people get the terminology f3cked. Smart Phone = Windows phone, not any other OS. The term has loosened greatly since the induction of the "true" smart phone, being Windows based.

fair enuf,i was considering a windows based smartphone, are they real good cuz i can happily play megadrive, snes etc games on my symbian phone:)

Yep sure thing mate, I sent 'em an email last night. I'll check my mail when I get home in around 4 hours and let you know if I've received anything.

@ raging-savage: I'm not 100% sure on the symbian version mate, I've only heard of it for windows mobile/smart phones. They may release one, because they have Linux support in the desktop and server realm. In which case the new breed of pure Linux based smart phones (not Symbian) that are gonna be due real soon, will need support too. I guess if we scream loud enough, they'll prolly accomodate us :D I'll keep you posted :)
