w00t w00t! I may yet again have a chance to be reunited with one of my very favorite mobo manufacturers it seems. Pix and specs are emerging @ XS of the new 5P965+ GLI motherboard for C2D.

This board looks wicked-sick to the say the least, and the layout is perfect minus the ATX connector which is in it's classic whack-ass EPoX spot :)

Anyone else agree that this board looks like it's ready to dominate some n00bs???

I cant decide if all the IDE and SATA connectors in that cornor is a good idea or not. It would make cable tidying a little easyer keeping them from being strooned over the mobo, but it could get quite fiddiely trying to fit a fair few drives.

The 24pin placement is stupid. And theres no mosfet sink?

EPoX is known for horrible ATX placement, but the rest of the connectors I must say they did a good job placing. Usually EPoX doesn't send their boards out with mosfet sinks pre-attached, but does send a baggy full of small heatsinks for you to choose which fets and caps you think should have sinks on em.

I believe Epox have made the 1st board I'd ever consider buying :p

No green PCB, no insanely stupid colour scheme, reasonable layout (- atx).

Shame its just been released when P965/975 is gonna take a whipping...

I would suspect that it stands for Graphics Linked Interface as it could either run CrossFire or SLI with hacked drivers.

Doesn't it have 1x 1x PCI-e 1x 4x PCI-e 1x 16x PCI-e?

So then the 16x would divide into two and the pci-e 1x will be a 8x?

Is that correct?

What you see is what you get. You get one PCI-E 16x and one PCI-E 4x for your video cards, and then however many PCI-E 1x slots the board has.
