That's optional and was there before. It removes ads etc.
YouTube offer the same sort of deal for £13.99 a month. Facebook just destroy your feed with more ads than there is content. And if you close one you need to tell them why. Only "I don't want to see any ads at all" is not on the list. Only ways for them to target you better.
All of these platforms are crap. The sooner people get over their phone addiction the better. Problem is for the most part these apps (especially Twitter) give people a hugely inflated sense of self importance. I have never used Twitter ever because as soon as I saw the follow function I knew what it was all about. Making people feel like Jesus ffs. Yeah that sort of crap just totally isn't for me. At all.
That said Elon knows what he's doing. He knows full well how these people Dice describes were absolutely NOTHING before social media came along because they wouldn't dare forcing their ideals on people in public so would die without it. So why not exploit them? I mean they're desperate. It's about time someone did. Maybe it'll fookin shut them up.
I don't give a crap about any of it. I noticed a few weeks ago Facebook started invading my private messages by sending ad messages from companies. Oddly enough when they asked "Hi can I help you with anything" and I started replying to them saying "why yes, you can f**k off" the messages stopped.
