EK Vardar Evo fans now offer true silent operation!

EK have announced their new Vardar Evo fans, which now have start stop technology - if the PWM signal drops below a certain threshold the fan stops spinning. Perfect for silent systems that generate low heat when idle or on desktop duties!

They are available in 120mm and 140mm in all black, black and grey, and all white colours.

Hydro-dynamic bearing is what those fans needed. No matter how good they are they were noisy. Finally EK has upgraded that. Start/Stop is good, but 400 RPM or off doesn't make much difference.

Edit: And there are 140mm in white... That is so nice... :D
 
I don't see how this is news. I can make my PWM GTs stop too with a simple PWM profile. Why is this news? I think the read-between-the-lines message is "hey, our fans don't suck anymore, so please buy them". Nah, I'll stick to GTs thanks.

Well EK gave us the best water blocks in the world, and it is good they focused their efforts on that. Now that they have more wiggling room, they are upgrading their other products. And i think that is a good thing.

Corsair is giving customers ugly gray fans on AIOs. And they force you to buy them. EK didn't force you to buy their fans. Yes in their kits, but they are so well priced that it pays off to buy kit, buy different fans, sell Vardars for next to nothing, and have change for a few beers. Props to EK.

AIO = All in One = A kit. So the fans are part of that kit, without it it would not work.
So its exactly the same as with EK.

Umm, no. Watercool makes superior blocks in every way. Looks, performance, and price. EK can't touch Watercool. But that's an OT argument. I still say Vardars suck, and this PWM "silent" feature is just silly marketing, as I can do the same thing with older PWM fans. I can't believe people fall for this B.S.
