You never know this could be the R9 290X all over again although I would prefer to buy the Sapphire Nitro and get a water block for that purely for the 8pin power connector

why would you want 8 pin all it is is 6 pin with 2 more ground wires.

Basically an 8pin would allow it to draw more power and not overdraw from the pci-express power delivery.

well 8 pin is rated for 150w when 6 pin is rated at 75w.. but a single rail with a 6+2 pin is rated at 150w whether you use 6 or 6+2 (8) pins.. so i don't see the benefit.
Would be better to have 2x6 pins imo.

i dont think any modern psu has just a 75w 6pin connector any more they are all 150w 6+2

Why did they stop the single slot designs? I liked those and thought they were on to a good thing.
