Pulling on their vast knowledge and experience EK have produced the Predator, their first ever AIO cooler.

EK Predator AIO Review

Been waiting for this to be reviewed and it doesn't disappoint, it's right up there with the GTi and GTX impressive! Not really sold on the "AIO" monika though it is and it isn't.. Like the Kelvins, Swiftech H220 and Tritons they are kind of in a category of their own being expandable and all, although like you say in the review conclusion it's the use of proper size fittings and hoses that make the Predator stand out, to me they are prebuilt custom loops definitely worth the money though.

good to know you didn't to drill holes in your motherboard and killing it to mount it, like another reviewer that did....

Good review and although EK are kings when it comes to full on watercooling I think the AIO arena is best left for companies with more experience like Corsair, Fractal and NZXT.

No.

Watercooling is watercooling and you can substitute pretty much all those AIO vendors to just Asetek....

Personally,Aquacomputer and Watercool are WC 'kings' for me.

i still cant see why you would want this to add a gpu block as well.
I guess you could probably get 2 of the rads and chain them together and then have a gpu block + 1 cpu block.
But I still dont get where the market is for it.
The rad is to small "imo" to be an efficient method for cooling down a gpu + a cpu when over clocked. (unless you happen to have a very cool running card any way. which i wouldnt understand the need to water cool that either)

so i just cannot see who the target market are..

For me personally and my needs, I feel the only benefit the Predator 240 has over the competition is the quieter pump. If Asetek and competitors (not that Asetek will let anyone compete) can develop a compact pump that doesn't grind like a 'chop-shop' mechanic, this particular unit would lose its main appeal. The 360 makes more sense as you could add a GPU and have your main components water cooled for very little money and hassle. But the 240 variant is mostly going to be used for CPU cooling only, which has a lot of competition. The only critical point the EK has over its competition is, in my opinion, the superior pump. While the EK looks better than the Swiftech or Triton coolers, the Corsair GTXi models look really stellar. I prefer the braided tubing.

Hi

I personally would rather have the new EK 240 kit. I used it as the basis for my new iTX rig and added a GPU block and another 240 radiator. This solution while expandable is a bit more painful to do. Filling the Res after expanding the loop is going to be a chore.

Now if I was not thinking of expanding to include extra components, I think its a great solution. I like how they tidied up all the fan connections on the included pcb.

Better pump,better block.....more reliable......

Need I say more?

Reliability actually, yeah, you're right. That's a big plus that I didn't think of.

But better block... what's it translating to? According to these results, it's not showing that much of a benefit. Other tests show the Predator ahead or at the very least on par with the competition, but even with the superior block, it's still only as good as the Corsair units. The Fractal Kelvin S24 has a copper radiator, but the Corsair still beats it.
