Hi guys,
Plain and simple, can anyone confirm that the back plates for the reference 780/780Ti cards from EK will be compatible with the 980Ti reference cards.
My new gpus are all plugged in and so to take them out and check means dismantling my entire loop.
From first glance though, it seems like the screw holes all line up and the dimensions are the same. The back plate cutouts look like there will be no interference with the 980Ti chips too.
However I don't really want to pull my whole loop apart unless I know for sure the backplates are compatible or I have no other choice to check. Considering I will plastidip the backplates the naming convention won't matter to me if I am able to install them on my 980Ti's.
EK do not list them as being compatible, but I know in the past they have done this with some blocks which were indeed compatible, this is a simple ploy to purchase their 980Ti branded backplates,
