Haven't bought a GPU at MSRP in forever. I don't see why anyone would. I got my 3070ti for less than $300 less than a year after launch.
Yet so many people rush out to buy the new GPU from Nvidia. Half my friend group has been saving holding out on their "old 3xxx/4xxx" GPUs so they can get the new one. It's impossible to reason with them. Nvidia marketing is quite reminiscent of Apple.
