Can anyone recommend any out of the box solutions? I've looked at oScommerce but it has a few security issues.

I don't mind something that is paid for... as long as it's secure, uses some form of database and is easy to modify.

So far I have looked at Actinic Catalog and oScommerce...

cubecart i think it pretty simple, not sure how secure. If you have cpanel and fantastico, it should be in there.
