hi,,last week i won a extreme x6800 for £430...still on air got the core to 3965.

can i go higher on air?

got a prommie sat here but no time to fit it yet...what overclocks am i looking at when fitted ?

had a play with super pi 1m.....scored 12.875

What week stepping is it?? my es does 4.4 non benchable but will bench @ 4.2 under the cascade it will only do 4.8 and bench at 4.6

All 3 of my 6800's ran 1m over 4ghz on the stock cooler.On the prometeia you will hit around 4.6ghz for spi.

The EVGA board is out at shocking prices (£206+ delivered) from the usual suspects.

The Asus, Abit and DFI are looking like better options- D-PWM makes the CPU area much clearer, so sub-zero is a LOT easier.

I`ve seen from Coolalers tests that the chipset loses out slightly compared to the 965/975..maybe 0.2 secs in SuperPi 1M, tho obviously it has the space to improve
