hey all

i have an e2180 with GA-945pl-s3p

before the e2180 i was having old 2.8celeron and overclocked it to 3.2 with the same 945pl

but when i increase the fsb with the e2180 from 200 to any more fsb even 205

all the pc can't boot and i have to remove the battery of the board to make it run again at default

note:1-my RAM is 2X1G.B Kingston bus 667.

2-I have updated the bios from f2 to f4 but the same problem.

3-I have tried all the solutions of memory multip. and pci express frequency=100

4-all voltage are normal

plz can any body help

thank's for all

945 chip set doesn't officially support core 2 based chips I'm afraid.

Grab a nice P3/45 board and youll be all set for some real clocks :).

Yeah, motherboard manufactures have tweaked the lesser chip sets to work with the core 2s, but their idea of 'work' is running 100% stable at stock.

mmmm

but is there another solution??

i have tried Easytune5 and reachead 2.4 but the memory freq. was very high

there is a new F6e bios avaliable but it still beta does it will make problems?

because the money now is for an new 9500Gt

Don't buy a 9500! Spend an extra £11 (from most sites) and get a 9600GT.. a 9500GT is a waste of cash, seriously.

Also, your motherboard doesn't officially support the C2D as Ham stated, so you will encounter problems anyway, no matter what BIOS you have.

Actually the XFX 9600GSO is £66 and outperforms both.

HERE is a review.

And you can buy it HERE

If your planning on overclocking the PentiumD, get a P31. Low power usage and can get a decent oc for them on them.

I reccomend this one HERE
