Dx10 games, what`s out there ?

I`m looking for some graphical gratification (oo-err).

What have we got to this point ?

Like to know if it`s "patched to enhance the looks" (patch came out after release) - or - "dev`d as Dx10" too, if ya know.

(State the bleeding obvious ones too please)

company of heroes looks ok in dx10, altho I'm not sure how much better than dx9 it is as I guess being a RTS it would be scaled due to being zoomed out.

I've seen some comparison videos which show the characters while zoomed in and it looks pretty good.

omg yes, another reminder, loved the older versions and I`ve got the packaged cds still in plastic.

Have you got opposing fronts? It's got the brits in it now! Love the stereotypical british quotes in it...

world in conflict, stunning looking game in DX10

considering how good this game is it seems to have slipped in under the radar.. Massive entertainments games have been awesome (ground control 1, expansion and 2) this one continues that trend and looks and plays beautifully :D

You sound like me apart from I sold my CoH from my GT for 17 quid after playing it and deciding gameplay was a little slow... Made the GT even better value.

Also all I'm doing lately is playing Footy Manager as well as CoD4

Meh, when it came out I had a 7600GT at best.

It played semi-ok, but tbh with u I h8d the controls - the movement esp.

Urg - this is partially the reason for this thread. I don`t wanna particularly build a machine and resort to playing something I can get away with on my old one. (cod4 aside perhaps)

I quite liked Ground Control actually - does world in conflict play the same?

I only play Football Manager atm becuase my PC is playing up. Installing SP3 beta fixed one problem and created another. If I could be bothered to format I would. Ill hit some COD4, UT3 and CSS soon.

for the most part yes :) its ramped up graphically :) same idea of being able to zoom right in on the units and get a ground level perspective (which is awesome if you're in an artillery strike :D) unit grouping is more or less the same also

so on the whole, yes :) just ALOT prettier

They are being a little cheeky with some of those images.

Alot of them are pre-rendered.. especially UT3.

In other words they arn't in game. :(

Been playing CoH. Not the game I was thinking of tbh, although it`s extremely similar, just not as good.

Eye candy is obviously there, but nothing to write home about imo. Lots of little details, which is probably where all the power goes.

Had to under/overclock my 8800GT to stop that stoopid driver error popping up.

Oc is just going down and down, think my memory is under stock now.

What have you been running your GT mem at? Anything over 975mhz (1950 effective) damages the card. This is something jonnyguru said a while back on another forum... Not sure if it was quashed as a rumour.

RMA.

Just re-checked the AlphaDog 670m stock levels and they`re 670/1950.

The drivers stopped again last night @ 705/995 - I say that loosely cos although u set it at that in RT it actually does something like 703/993 or similar.

Took it to 695/990, which in reality was god knows, and the game ran ok for hours. Could probably bump the gpu back up tbh.

I can change it back and Crysis will run fine for hours. Run Gears of War and it`ll stop again.

I seen the many rantings about the memory on the GT(s), they`re simply either not cooled well or at all. In all honesty, they`re probably best left alone unless u adapt the cooling.

Crazy when u can run a bencher for 745/1020 or something.
