hi.

seriously thinking of upgrading to dual core but have one question.

will both cores be used in normal everyday use in windows or is it only some programs that will use the second core ?

Regards

Both cores won't be used on a regular basis, but you'll be glad you have both cores when it comes down to doing some serious multitasking. For example decoding a DVD and playing some CSS at the same time... it's times like that you'll be praising your dual core :)

how is it with wmplayer ?

my winny have problems keeping up when im using firefox azuerus folding@home and watching an avi movie at the same time.

Thats where you are going to see what you've been missing not having a dual core :) It'll eat all of those programs for lunch no problem!

sounds better and better.

not so much for overclocking now when its summer
Yep sure is, a DC proccy makes your system a lot more responsive than a single core. As Kempez said, you don't experience the lag. Admittedly, both cores aren't used all the time, but you'll notice the difference when they are.

As for the 'not overclocking during the summer', how cold does it get in Sweden even during the summer months? I wouldn't have thought it'd be a problem lol :D

well its 26.2 indoor, some areas has already made record with almost 32celsius in the shadow.

btw last week we had winter

Crikey, that's warm mate. The max temps I've ever experienced in my neck of the woods is 43 deg C, but with a humidity level of 90%. Humidity for those who've never experienced it is like living in a green house (hot house to some). You sit on the couch drinking a cold one and you literally sweat from raising your arm 60 cm. Very uncomfortable

i have another problem too, i cant open my windows.

that damn cat;) have already fallen out once in roughly 1 year time and its more than enough.

had 26-28 celsius now during the night and aroudn 17celsius outside.

but will go out hunting down a friend of mine and persuade him to help me get some boards home so i can put up a net over the windows to solve that problem.

lol, although I shouldn't laugh  You live in an apartment complex don't you? Do you not have fly screens on your windows? Phew, man that'd be hot with the windows shut :(

I'm sorry but I just have to laugh at that :D. Long drop or no? Cat turn out to be fine? Pretty cool in my room right now. Tends to be around 21*C with a max of 26*C (only because of my comp :p) (rare) and a low of 19*C.

live on the first floor s its only 1.90m down but still i dont live in an area suitable for a cat to be free in and its illegal too.

no flyscreens over here.

fly's are not common here, think i saw 2 or 3 last year-
