Well guys we have some news to report, and pics to follow. We have managed to get a dually up and running with two Chilly1 blocks. One is to cool the gpu and the other obviously is to cool the cpu. Its frosting up nicely, so we are half way there. I'll keep you posted.

Great news guys! I asked Klaus @ nVentiv if they were doing one of those around April 04, he wouldn't say - but the Brits have actually done it!

Sounds v.cool cannot wait to see some pictures, come on phil stop holding us in suspence

I'll get some pics uploaded later on guys, its looking smart actually. One chilly1 block is specifically for the VGA, one is geared up for the CPU.

just a quick question about the gpu end, with gigabyte releasing its sli 6600 in one card and with the 6800's on there way along with other manufactures making there own will this setup be able to fit them?

no im reffering to the Gigabyte 3D1 - Dual GeForce 6600 GT 256MB DDR3 & K8NXP-SLI nForce4 SLi which has two cores on one card.

then yes, more than likely. Obviously I cant guarantee it will fit every design out there.

any ideas of the kind of cooling loss at the cpu end?

Obviously its a NLIIF GT compressor (r507) is split down the middle so in theory you should divide the temps you get currently in two. It doesnt work exactly like that but it will give you some idea - At the moment (before my engineer fine tunes the unit) we're getting approximately -30 degrees on both cpu/gpu which is still plenty cold enough for some good results. Certainly the gpu end will be better than the best pelt you can get at the moment and we havent even started tuning her. We'll be in for some interesting results.

Very VERY nice work Phil! I'm liking it. Has it got a second temp probe on the GPU block?

It will have two temp probes by the time we're finished. Both will connect to the standard GT controller board (which allows for this) however we're not 100% how it will work, and how accurate they will be.
