Hey guys,

So I currently have an Radeon HD6950 2GB but going to buy an ASUS GTX970 Strix very shortly and was wondering the best and easiest way to delete the current drivers for the AMD card... in order to only have the drivers for the 970?.

Thanks,
Chrazey

Thanks for the replies guys!
So which ones the best option then, in the most "getting completely rid of it all in a safe way"? :)

AMD's own cleanup utilities are junk.

What makes you say that?... If I'm not mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong, I've seen few post of yours when you say things like this to certain things. Seems like you have a higher "standard" when it comes to quality than most.

No offense or so meant here though, so don't take it the wrong way :)

Thanks guys for all the help, even though it may seem like basic stuff for most of you, it ain't always easy for the little guys :)

He says that because it leaves behind footprints that put a T-Rex to shame... Reg keys, files etc

Follow link to what Thelosouvlakia posted, this is probably one of the best driver removal tools floating around on the net, and cleans up a lot more than the AMD Util does. The AMD util leaves the drivers installed, reg keys in Windows Registry, files in program files folders and also the AMD / ATI folder that is used to extract the downloaded driver archive, the DDU takes care of most, if not nearly all what is installed.
