Driver issue? Duff card?

During games they freeze. After about 10 mins. If I hit esc, alt+tab out, return back into the game I can continue... For a while, then the same thing happens.

Things were acting screwy since I installed the orange box from steam...

Had a bsod too... Not really sure whats going on and it's late and i can't think of what i have tried or what to try.

If this card is broken :mad:

Oh, it is oc'd, mildly @ 700/1750/950 which was ati artifact stable and the card was rthdribl/3dm06 stable with higher clocks...
 
I guess you are running on the 169.04 drivers?

I seem to be having the same problem. Could be the drivers... or our crazy overclocks. ;)
 
Driver: 169.02.

Cooling: Stock.

Temps: idle 49, load 80.

I'll back down my OC to see if that is the issue but the temps seem fine to me!

My card doesn't get above 63 on full load using ATI artifact tool with a big ol overclock.. What you got the fan set to?

But you have the gts, i got rid of mine to play with the gt...

Anyways, I got rid of all drivers and started over... AGAIN! Only this time everything seems fine! Back to gaming with no issues.

Fan is set to manual. Think I'll dig out the original mcw60 plate and whack it on... I cba though! :p
 
Glad you've got everything sorted. Fingers crossed it'll be fine from now on.

I'm sure I read somewhere of an issue that plagued some of the 8800GTS 320mb which sounds similar to this

Oy you nut!! I already told you in a PM I bought the GT too. Pah... Can't get the staff these days!!

I just haven't changed my sig :rolleyes:
 
Aaah, sorry, I get a lot of PM's, hard tokeep track of everyone... Update your sig :p

Well after hours of cod4 all ok but after 30mins of hl2 same freezy spazz out... Checked with riva and I was hitting 84deg!!! I think bumping up the fan simply put off the spazz out... Really need to pull my finger out and get this under water
