Ok um i have a 6800 here (obviously) and a bios flashed Radeon 9800XT. I have a Zalman VF700 on the 9800XT cause of the flash but i want it on the 6800. Would it be possible and safe to put the stock cooler of the 6800 on the 9800XT?

I guess the thing is if you are gonna get a cooler (like the AC version) put it on the better card (6800) The AC is better than the Zalman.

Im not buying anything. I just wanted to know if the 6800 stock cooler would disipate the heat good enough to keep the 9800XT cool. That is all.

Yes it would be able to cool, but probably not able to mount.

what he said^ if youre going to go through the trouble of mounting a non compatible cooler you might aswell buy a new one

THats what i was thinking. If i can mount it ill leave on there and test it but i didnt want to lose my Zalman cooler to my dad. Cause once i stick this card in his machine (9800XT) i wont see it for a LONG time.
