Hey guys

Iv noticed that when scrolling down/up whatever on pages in firefox (such as here or especially facebook) it seems to feel really heavy/bloated

I just tried opera (for the first time ever!) and its quite the opposite. =/

Soooo

Have I got a wrong setting in firefox cause surely this aint right

Cheers

Getting the same in pages with loads of pictures. I'm tempted to switch browsers tbh :/ Starting to like FF a bit less.

yah you see what i mean

so it isnt just me...why is it still really popular amongst enthusiasts then? :S

i mean i love adblock etc. and its so usuable but it feels almost as if my system is not good enough to run firefox haha

just read apparently lowering your graphics acceleration by 1 notch will help

i AM NOT doing that! lol

anyone else experiencing this? if you dont know what i mean try browsing around a bit on opera (facebook etc.) and you will see a difference

edit: I wanna format soon anyway but i doubt this will be solved seen it for a while now

may even have to switch browsers (i <3 ff tho!!!!)

i think their is a addon call smooth scroll or something you can adjust the settings on how smooth you want it.

i have tried it enabled/disabled doesnt really help

Safari according to futuremark's new browser benchmarker is the fastest, never used it really

Opera seems to do the job but i dont wanna switch and ill miss adblock!

Just downloaded opera, going to see if it's better on my CPU. Also, OC3D sucks on the uni wireless connection, maybe it has something to do with how firefox handles a lot of connections.

Safari's an option too, but I really disklike the tabs being all the way up :/

I don't have any of those feelings.

All I did was turn smooth scroll on in the options somewhere. :p

Unless your CPU is acting up.

cheers pyro, i think thats actually cured the symptoms i was experiencing :S

dont see why its so bad as default

zak, i did try that smooth scrolling option and it still felt bad

but yay!

Installed that another smooth scrolling thing, it's a bit better now. Still getting used to it and fine tuning my settings though :p

Switched to opera on my laptop now, since it's at max 20% of 2*2.13gHz when on battery power and power saver, which firefox does not like :p
