im thinking of getting one of these systems but wondered if i will see a difference in my electricity bills? Is it much of a difference. I know it would if i used pelts because they are so inefficient but is it the same case with mach 2 gt's?

not too sure? i diddnt really notice a change in my electricity bill. at a guess id say its no worse than a second small fridge, like the kind you'ed have in your garrage.

Well it depends on how much yoru power company charges as to how much it costs to run really.

A friend of mine used one 24/7 for a few months, and foudn an average of a £15 increase in his power bill. Taking into account that his PC was heavily clocked with it, that was also the culprit for a percentage of the power consumption so I'd say closer to £10 per month 24/7.

If you don't use it 24 hours a day, it's a lot less.

I sort of think of a refrigerator. If you think about the cost to run one of those, you likely won't be that far off if you're not a 24/7 user.

But if you worked out your cost per whatever they measure you power in where you are, and refer to the power consumption average of the unit, you'll be able to work out what cost it actually is where you live.

The max power consumption of a MACH 2 GT is 270w or using average price per kilowatt hour it'll be costing you 3p an hour to run on top of normal running costs pf your rig.

3p and hour over 8hrs (assuming your PC is on for that amount fo time at max overclock) = 24p a day or £1.68 a week x52 weeeks in a year (although the reality is it'll be more like 46 weeks in total) = £87.36 a year or £8.40 a month
