Hi all,

I have one of the old Saitek 3D Digital sticks which has one of the old analogue connectors on it. Since then I have upgraged my system with a couple of SLi 8500's and was wondering if it can still be used? Or as said.. Will I need to buy a new one withe a USB connector?

Cheers for any help/advice

These days m8, the likes of usb 360 controllers are pretty cheap considering.

With Vista I know they just plug in and away u go. So many new games are geared up for them too considering they have counterparts on the 360 consoles.

Just me being a cheap skate and wondering if I actually need to throw away a perfectly good controller to get another.

But looks that way :)

Well, the 3D is about 10 years old now, and u could get something like this:

.. to plug it into USB. (I say like-it as it was the 1st one that google spat out)

Drivers-wize tho I'm not sure how the joystick will react, so u may need to research.

The 360 is a different pad, whereas the Saitek is a specific stick. I have no doubt there are upd8d usb versions.

Costing is a concern as are drivers with adapters like above.
