DNS Host DDOS Attack

Hey guys,

If you've been having problems accessing OC3D, this is actually due to our DNS host currently being under a DDOS attack.

I've balanced our DNS hosting between two companies now, so hopefully within the next few hours everything should be fine regardless of any DDOS attacks.

Looks like its affecting lots of other websites too. I've noticed 5 of my regular sites are down at the mo :\

I don't think so. The company that hosts our DNS, also hosts DNS for hundreds of thousands of other websites. This makes them a big target for idiots that want to cause a lot of trouble with minimum effort.

I've been unable to access the site for at least 4 hours... I've been forced to do work - Booooooo!

Maybe I was in bed when all this happened!

It might be that u`d only notice it if u have/had a high latency.

If it`s still going on, then I can`t tell the difference here. But earlier today.. well it just wasn`t worth trying tbh.

Only just logged on in the last 20 mins and been fine so far.

Poor wannabe hackers cany even make something as simple as DOS effective (thankfully) step up a level do us all a favour and get yourselves caught hacking NASA or MI6

Their not even hackers, freakin script kiddies thinking DDOS attacks are cool. Seriously, i havent been able to get on for a while now. Its been peoding me bad. I asked Kemp what was going on but he never responded
