Discord launches Steam-like Game Tab update

Never had a problem. Haven't used teamspeak but I doubt it has as much customizable options and the ability to import bots and such.
I've had enough issues. Audio not connecting, drastic quality changes without any network issues, people's volume changing randomly...
How come you have never used TeamSpeak? May I ask how old you are? Because in my early days of PC gaming, TeamSpeak 2 was the goto software besides mIRC.
What I like about Discord is how fast things can go, if everything works. Click a link, setup your mic and headset and boom, you're ready without having to install anything and get an IP+PW. TeamSpeak also supports bots.

Discord being allowed to access your steam profile to be able to show your games and whatnot.

Given that Discord has been able to do this for a long time it makes no sense shouting about it now. Discord knows what you're playing hence why it displays it by your name it's been this way for ages unless it's a stand alone or Windows title.

Love discord it's come such a long way, the setup is painless and tweaking it on the fly is a doddle. Bots a easy enough once you get your head around the coding and docking (thanks SuB) it's worlds apart from the days of Teamspeak and Mumble.

I'm pretty sure it just scans for games that start. I've never linked my steam account or anything. Even when I don't play steam games it recognizes it.

Yeah, I think it scans the executables running. You can disable that though. Not the scanning, but the displaying of what you are playing.
