Microsoft have said that DirectX 12 will be shipping with Windows 10.

Whats wrong with your current PC? I am upgrading to a 5930k myself, but thats only because I am bored, my 2600k is still great.

im thinking of tying the pre release windows 10. i downloaded it from MS yesterday. but will wait till tuesday to try it "i ply asetto corsa on mondays so i dont want to risk losing my assetto corsa nights"
If i like it i will probably buy it. i really dont like 8.1 that much even with start is back. and i never did get arround to trying to reinstall7.
so if 10 gives me a direct upgrade path and works fine then il do that i think.

i guess that means i have moved camp from the "they better give me full dx 12 on windows 7" camp. to the "well it would be nice if they gave 7 users dx 12. but i will probably be on 10 any way" camp

my system is getting on a bit and bits are starting to die, and mainly I've got the upgrade itch and lack of funds to solve it
