Maybe you have a fan at Ubisoft guv![]()
The thing with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series wasn't GPUs, the XRay Engine and A-Life systems needed raw CPU grunt and as much as you could throw at it, also bear in mind that even GSC couldn't run it at max settings either when it was launched.I was running a GTX260 and it struggled but man it looked pretty. I still have Pripyat and Clear Sky on Steam. I'll have to hunt down my boxed copy of the original.
Hopefully now that GSC are back developing games albeit only half the original team and Sergey Grygorovych releases the IP back to them and we finally get to see S.T.A.L.K.E.R II.

That would explain it - I was running a Q8400 I think or it may well have been a Pentium 4 if it was the one before that. Pretty sure S.T.A.L.K.E.R was the reason I upgraded. I was mainly playing that, MechWarrior 3 and CFS with the Over Flanders Fields mod back then.
I'll have to dig out my old specs.
