Looking for a decent P35 based motherboard and wanting to overclock the nuts off it? The DFI P35-T2R looks to have the goods...

I've seen two people with a P5K do 4Ghz with a 6600

bear in mind that this is a DFI engineering sample (& they tried several others & couldn't get past 630) & no doubt a handpicked CPU which was cooled by a cascade.

Just don't expect to see too many people replicating this with shipping retail mobos ...

Here's my question concerning the P35 motherboards... would it be worthwhile to trade up to one from my ABIT AW9D 975X? I've been scoping the ABIT versions, though I'm always open to ASUS and DFI...

PS: Ham's right, it was about how good the mobo does, not the cpu. Some extra pictures and specs on the mobo would have been nice also. But thanks for the look, PV.;)

TJS, 975X is still the fastest chipset clock for clock & you look to have a decent core clock there so I doubt it.
