Good news for P4 overclockers.

DFI have released an LGA775 board with 875 chipset.

No DDR2 support (so what I have yet to see the advantages come to fruition?)

No PCI Express x16 VGA (so what, performance is no better to 8x AGP at present)

875 chipset is the best option for Prescott overclocking.

DDR now has DIMM volts up to 3.2v

Look at www.dfi.com.tw for more information and link to first review.

All we need now is the LGA775 CPU kit for MACHII and I'm away!! (any news on release dates for this one phil??)

Post your thoughts here.

That is indeed superb news - yeah the cpukits are nearly ready so I have been informed - I will be speaking to the manufacturer next week when they are back from Las Vegas (trade show) for further details.

Hi Phil,

Slightly off topic - how did you find overclocking your 3.4ee?

Before any volt mods using just the out the box MOBO, what overclock could you achieve?

Just a quick update:

Intel have now released 64bit LGA775 Presscotts, highlighted by the 'f' in the number that replaces the 'e' found in older prescotts.

Now if this 875 DFI board can take the 64bit Intels, looks like I'll be needing that LGA CPU KIT fastet than I thought!!!

Pretty good mate, they love volts however as you say.

4.4ghz stable, Mach II GT, approx 1.85v/1.9v on a good day.
