Looks like a really nice board, 4 PCI-Express and 3 PCI. :yumyum:

The preview boards have been floating around for a while. Anyone seen them for sale yet? They're rumored to be under $250 too.
 
Im kinda confused. AMD got rid of the southbridge and Intel didnt right? If thats so, then why is their southbridge activly cooled whereas the northbridge isnt? If im mistaken please correct me.
 
Because the NB has a big fat passive cooler on it and the SB has a crappy little flat one. And therefore needs a fan.

No, AMD chipsets have a southbridge as that's typically what does SATA/USB etc.

Some of the typical northbridge functions (memory controller) are now in the AMD CPUs though.

I may hold off a new mobo for some proper retail results for this board...

1st testers got somthing like 535fsb...
