DFI Cancels The Highly Anticipated LANParty UT nF590 SLI Intel Edition

I don't even know what to say... Other than what mobo am I going to get now? It does say they are working with the new C55 chipset (? not heard of it)

In a way it could be good, they cancelled because of poor overclocks; the C55 should be the dogs...

Well lets get the ball rolling... I'm gutted.

I hate waiting, and this means more of it.

On the up, they cancelled due to mediocre OC'n - can't remember the exact details, something like 325MHz fsb... Yup here (think it was Kempez that gave me that link...)

So, with the new C55 chipset there will be some decent results...

What mobo can I get now?

Repost? Regardless, this is great news. Now they can fully focus on [url']http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=114818[/url]

It's not great news for some people. a) It's for AMD b) It's for crossfire.

I have nVidia and Conroe so this news is as welcome as a group hug in a burns unit, followed by a session of lets roll around in salt and stab eachother with spoons. As far as I'm concerned.

Just get a P5B or a P5W DH Deluxe. Unless your gonna be waiting a while

O.K. Which is better? Cost is no longer an issue, i want it lol. No more waiting. P5B or P5W DH Deluxe? XS do the hacked drivers?

That would be for intel.... sigh.

tbh 590 is not going to be good for intel anyway. If it's for personal use your best of sticking with the fastest single card you can buy rather than coping with the hassles of SLI

Agreed...unless you wanna dump several hundred pounds on improving your 3DMark score, SLI just aint worth the hassle.

Or unless you have a monitor that displays at a resolution to warrant it ;)

It's already done - I got 2 7900gt's for the price of 1. So i have to have SLi

When you say it's not going to be good for intel, do you mean in terms of OC'n?

If you got 2 for the price of one, why not just sell em off and buy yourself a single 7900GTX or x1950XTX (when they get out or whatever). Or sell one, use the other until DX10 cards come out, sell, and get a DX10. Something to that effect
