Delta temps?

Hi guys, can anyone explain to me what temps i should be actually monitoring with regards to my cpu/motherboard

I have the Corsair H70 and a Phenom ii 1055t (small overclock as im learning but its at 3.5Ghz)

Now the temp in my room is 21.9c and at idle AMD Overdrive is saying cores are 23.5c and at load it goes to 35-38c do i then subtract the room temp to get my actual cpu temp?

Ok on the motherboard part of Overdrive it shows tmpin 1 to 4 as -294.7c which obviously is wrong but is it something i should be concerned about?

Thanks

Zip,

ps i know the corsair isnt true watercooling but wasnt sure what forum to ask really.

To calculate your delta temp, subtract the room temp from the CPU temp (wrote it backwards). basically, delta temp = CPU temp - room temp. I'd ignore the -294C. I think it's a non-issue (I use AMD too, it says that for me too)

Delta temps are only needed when comparing cooler performance as room temps can affect the results +/- a few c, the actual temp of your cpu is what is displayed in overdrive/coretemp/hwmonitor.

Cheers for the reply fellas
