I think a lot of this stuff is aimed at the average Joe. I tried explaining to a friend that he needed an SSD in his next laptop, its like knocking your head against a brick wall sometimes. Because then you won't be ringing me up on Sunday night saying how slow everything has gotten, and does he need more memory....

If you compare these to the Intel equals, it really seems like Dell is purposefully making these laptops worse. Cost more and with worse hardware. Not to mention some models have odd amounts of memory. 6GB/12GB for an APU is really going to hurt performance. Mixing memory amounts is not good for APUs.

It's not bad tbh for a 17.2". That's a lot of screen for a lappy. IIRC I recently paid about £45 for a 180gb M.2 so it wouldn't cost you that much to slap an SSD in

Both Dell and HP seems to have gone out of their way to make a bad inplementation for these APUs......
