Deciding on new CPUs

Help on deciding on a new CPU

My current rig is failing pretty quickly. BSODs/freezing (requiring a hard reset) pretty regularly at random intervals but still often enough to worry. Motherboard connections are failing, along with PSU connectors. Basically the system is constantly progressing to be unreliable. I can use it for gaming and whatever now, but its getting pretty bad.

But I honestly dont know if upgrading to a 1150 would be worth it in the long run, I dont want to spend a lot of money for something Im going to have to completely scrap next year. I probably will be using it until it dies like the 2600k. Sites like cpuboss show 25% upgrade for the 4790k, 27% for the 5820k, and 32% for the 5930k (but pricey). But I will be overclocking with whatever I get with. So any advice or thoughts would be great. I'm on a pretty tight budget, but I want to have freedom to upgrade as well, hence the overkill on the PSU. And since either of the newer CPUs are not completely "groundbreaking" I'm just a little worried.

Current Rig -
Intel I7 2600k 4.3ghz
Corsair H50 AIO
ASRock P67 Extreme 4
Corsair Enthusiast 750w PSU
Corsair Vengeance 4gb (x4)
EVGA 680 4GB

What Im looking at is either upgrading to Haswell or Haswell-E.

Haswell -
Haswell 4790k
EVGA SuperNOVA
MSI Z97-GD65
G.Skill Trident X
Corsair H105 AIO
With fans and some other misc parts - $1,319

Haswell-E

Haswell 5820K (Possibly the 5930k)
EVGA SuperNOVA
MSI X99 Gaming 7
G.Skill Ripjaws 4
Corsair H105 AIO
With fans and other misc parts - $1,343 or $1,583

Sorry for the long read question, and info. Thanks in advance. :)

Apparently another mod has removed the other thread, so this one can stay (even though this is the one that you reported for us to remove).

In the future, you can remove your posts by clicking

in the bottom right corner of your post and then, again in the bottom right corner of the grey box, there should be an option to 'Delete'. They will only remain visible to mods as 'Removed post' (we can still view them), but we'll get the idea and remove it completely for you :)

Azshios84 looking at your computer spec, ATM you have a pretty decent computer for what you need. I am going to ask you the obvious question .. when was the last time you did a complete fresh installation of your operating system that might help.. :)

Duke I did a complete boot nuke then install about a month ago. And barnsley my current rig is the first one listed.

I've literally just upgraded my I7 3770k and Gigabyte Z77 UD3H to the 4790k and a Gigabyte Black Edition Z97X UD5 (by literally I mean today so take with a pinch of salt if you like) but I can't express how amazed I am in the difference. I had a steady 4.4 OC on my 3770K at about 1.3v and my new 4790k gets (currently - but as I say still OC'ing) 4.6 @ 1.2v. Temps are much better and will be able to OC higher - reason for upgrading was USB ports stopped working on my old board. So in my opinion (all be it a little one) I would go with a 4790k for your upgrade. :)

Try updating the motherboard BIOS and all drivers? Try all that before you upgrade anything.. also check to see what temps you are getting during gaming. You said you OC'd the CPU.. make sure its a stable OC with enough volts too.
