It just means you can get it free until then, after that date you will no longer be able to get it for free and you will have to buy it.
Once you add it to your account it will stay there It's not everyday you get free stuff from EA, so you might as well get it while you can.

Sweet. I had a copy, and where I kept rebuilding and changing computers, the DRM was kicking in. All I would need to do is call them, but with this, it's tied to Origin and I will not have to worry about it again.
