* Dead Fx53 ?*

Hey there guys,

Im having a few issues with this board since I updated the BIOS to 1008.

I was using 1006 before and all was sweet, however I decided to update the bios last night to th 1008 one and then after the PC rebooted I keep getting the error at post...

"System failed CPU test"

This is with the FX53 I have just popped a 3500+ Winchester in and it booted first time perfectly.

The PC says im running 1008 so the flash must have worked ok yet whenever I try to put the FX53 back in I get the same message.

Is this BIOS bad with the FX53 or has the FX53 actually died? Im reluctant to put it back to the 1006 BIOS incase the FX53 is dead and then I wont be able to boot with the Winchester either.

What should I do??

Any of you running this board and the 1008 bios with the FX53??

If all this has happened straight after the bios update, then i think it must have something to do with that. I'd try flashing back to the other bios and see how ya go from there

Plus another thing, if the FX is dead, ive read that AMD are sending out FX-55s when FX-53s are RMA'd.

But like i say thats only what ive read

I managed to get round to flashing to the 1009 Beta bios and it now works flawlessly!

Shame... I could quite fancy an FX55
