ddr booster on p4c800 dlx

hi guys ,does anyone know what dimm slot you have to have the booster in to make it work properly .i want it in slot 4 and my mem in 1 and 3 but on my max 3 it didnt work in slot four lol

I used it in my P4c800E-dlx in slot2 ok i.e. between the dual channel ram in slots 1 and 3. Also meant I could see the voltage properly through a windowed side panel
 
thanks for the info mate ,i put the mobo in last night its not bad cant say i like the bios as much as my max 3 ,but it is stabler

Yup - thats what I found especially with OCZ RAM ...
 
well i trid it in slot three but i cant fit it in lol .but it works in slot four so im happy for now .i got this 3.4northwood up to 4.5 last night it clocks like a presscott ,

That's great:cool: I only got to this speed with my prescott ... might go a little higher once your arctic ceramique cures for a couple of days
 
do you think better cooling on the nb is needed im still on the stock heatsink

and ive still got vmods to do to the board .im getting some damm good contact

Most people who have an opinion by trying seem to think that only the very high FSB around the 300 mark requires anything other than a passive heatsink, but I put a swiftec fanned cooler on min just in case. If you've got such a good contact jut dont do anything that will mean you got move the evap hose or disrupt anything - it's great as it is:D
 
I've got my board VDroop modded, and have slapped a Northpole cooler on me NB, but my Northwood tops out at about 4.5, and I blew up my Prescott a while ago and am not going to pay out for a good clocker again. I only got 10 Mhz more FSB out of my chip after the NB sink had cured, but the system seems a fair bit more stable.
