Daisy Chaining Fans

Is it possible to daisy chain 3 120mm fans and have it connect to a 3 pin header or fan controller?

daisly chain and power them off molex iv done but i wouldnt trust having them all powerd off 1 3 pin connector off the motherboard.

Yeah, I wouldn't chain them to power from the motherboard header. They've always been notoriously low-powered... from the PSU, sure, but I wouldn't risk it.

I run 2 80mm fans off a thermal fan controller but as pointed out above I wouldn't risk putting 3 fans connected like that onto the mobo fan connector. If the power draw is too large then you could end up with a dead fan connector or even worse a dead mobo.

A fan controller might handle it, although I don't trust voltage regulation style controllers anymore, because my sunbeam rheobus broke It depends on what fan though, a single high speed fan might overwhelm a channel by itself.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I decided to assign an individual channel to them from a fan controller in the end
